I have read some posts here that this issue may be hotting up. I also read recently that marvel chipping is considered a production defect. Obviously this copy has pretty bad chipping - how much does it affect the grade? I think the stain at the top is also a production defect - it is printer's ink, the same colour as the "Doom" text on the splash page"

Thanks to all for their grades. But what about my question: How much does the Marvel Chipping affect the grade? Is it true what some have posted in other threads that it is considered as a printing defect so does not affect grade?

4.0 for me as well...nice book!

I've also heard that Marvel chipping doesn't impact the grade, but don't know if there's a point where extensive Marvel chipping does come into play?
