CGC is teaming up with ACE ASSIST and KLF Sports to bring fans an exclusive Private Signing with actress, singer and model Hailee Steinfeld. Acting since the age of 10, Steinfeld made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in the latest Disney+ series Hawkeye, starring as Kate Bishop. The comic world also knows her as the voice of Gwen Stacy in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Since her breakthrough role as Mattie Ross in the film True Grit, which earned her multiple nominations including an Academy Award, Steinfeld’s career has included films such as Romeo and Juliet, Ender’s Game, Bumblebee, 3 Days to Kill, Begin Again, Barely Lethal and the Pitch Perfect musical franchise. She received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for her work in The Edge of Seventeen. In addition to her acting career, Steinfeld has released two platinum singles.

“Having the cast of Hawkeye is tremendously satisfying, especially since this will be the first time ever that Hailee Steinfeld and Florence Pugh have signed!” said Stephen Shamus, ACE Comic Con President. “Jeremy Renner has embodied the Hawkeye character since 2012’s The Avengers, while Florence has recently appeared in Black Widow, and Hailee is not only in the new Hawkeye (as Kate Bishop), but also Spider-Gwen from Into the Spider-Verse. This is a tremendous opportunity for people to get CGC-certified signatures from all of these great characters at the same time!"

“The Signature Series team and I are beyond excited to be able to host the stars of Marvel’s latest television series, Hawkeye!” exclaimed Brittany McManus, CGC Signature Series Director. “We are honored to be given this opportunity, and we are certain that fans will love this signing. Hailee Steinfeld is an incredible actress who has been embraced by the comic world!”

CGC is beyond thrilled to announce that we will be hosting six incredible comic book artists and writers — Kevin Eastman, Tom Waltz, Ben Bishop, Luis Antonio Delgado, Isaac Escorza, and Esau Escorza — for an exclusive In-House Private Signing event! This will be the first-ever signing that brings together the six creative masterminds behind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin. In addition, CGC has created a custom Last Ronin label exclusively for this signing that is sure to please all the die-hard TMNT fans out there. The TMNT series and entertainment franchise was created in 1983 by cartoonists Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. Since then, the Ninja Turtles brand has transformed into a worldwide phenomenon with a number of live-action movies, video games, toys, and several popular animated television series.

The critically acclaimed Last Ronin five part miniseries follows the lone surviving Turtle on his journey through the post-apocalyptic future. The TMNT co-creators reunited for the first time in years to bring fans a final adventure. Eastman and Laird are joined by legendary writer Tom Waltz, and prolific comic book artists Ben Bishop, Isaac & Esau Escorza, and Luis Antonio Delgado. With this signing, comic fans will be given the opportunity to receive the signatures of all six artists and writers, and books will be encapsulated with our exclusive Last Ronin custom certification labels. In addition to signatures, the artists will also be offering Sketches and Remarques for purchase. See pricing details and examples below.

CGC is joining forces with Celebrity Authentics to bring fans an exclusive Private Signing opportunity with actor and producer John Boyega, who first rose to prominence in the sci-fi comedy Attack the Block in 2011. His international breakthrough came, however, with his role as Finn in the Star Wars sequel trilogy: The Force Awakens (2015), The Last Jedi (2017) and Rise of the Skywalker (2019).

Boyega is a rare autograph guest, and this is the first signing that he has agreed to add Personalizations, Character Names and Quotes to items for an additional fee. For more information about these options, visit CelebrityAuthentics.com.

“The demand and neverending popularity for Star Wars continued with J.J. Abrams and Rian Johnson’s Star Wars prequel trilogy, and we are pleased to be able to offer fans this rare opportunity to add one of the trilogy’s lead cast members, John Boyega, to their collections,” shares Joe Lamothe, Celebrity Authentics President. “We are looking forward to working with our friends at CGC to make this happen in 2022.”

“Our team at CGC is always excited to work with a Star Wars actor, but even more so with one as talented as John Boyega, whose role as Finn was so much a part of the trilogy’s storyline,” said Brittany McManus, CGC Signature Series Director. “Joe and Celebrity Authentics always deliver some of the biggest names in film, and we look forward to working with them to help collectors add that special CGC-graded book to their collection.”

For this exclusive event, ALL CGC members, including free CGC members, can submit books directly to CGC headquarters in Sarasota, Florida. CGC must receive all submissions for this event by Friday, January 14, 2022.

  • Under Services, select Grading and, if you would like it, Pressing. Then hit Next in the top right section of the form.
  • Enter the information requested for your comic, and make sure to check the box next to JOHN BOYEGA under Private Signing Details.
  • On the next screen, you can add one of CGC’s custom Marvel labels to your submission for qualifying books.
  • Select Add to Cart, and then repeat if there are additional books in your submission. If there are no additional books in your submission, click on the cart icon and proceed to checkout.
  • Note: If you want to submit magazines, please group them together on their own private signing form separate from comic submissions. The same rule applies for any custom labels. Please group them together on their own private signing form separate from non-custom labels. To see the available labels, click HERE.
  • Put ALL ungraded books in window bags or they will not be accepted. You can purchase window bags HERE.
  • Books that are already certified by CGC, including CGC Signature Series books, can be submitted for this event. CGC will remove a CGC-certified book from its holder for an additional $5 fee.
  • Carefully package books in a box for shipment. If you need a CGC shipping kit, they can be purchased HERE.
  • IMPORTANT: Please write JB on all sides of the outside of the box.
  • Books will be received into the CGC system when they arrive and will be safely stored by CGC until the event. (Please note: Payments are processed as they normally are at the time of the collectibles’ arrival at CGC.)
  • Once books are signed, they will start an expedited CGC grading process.

PLEASE NOTE:

All submissions must be received by CGC no later than Friday, January 14, 2022, to qualify for this private signing event. No change requests will be accepted after Friday, January 14, 2022.

Membership credits cannot be applied to CGC Private Signings.

*No Multi-Sigs included with other signings.

**If you submit a CGC-graded collectible that needs to be removed from its original holder by CGC, the collectible will need to go through the certification and encapsulation process again, and there is no guarantee that it will receive the same grade.

was about to say yeah turnaround time was great but now upon further inspection I don't see the CCS press charge listed on my invoice

will CCS not press a book at their discretion if they don't think it needs one even though I had one on my order/submission confirmation??!!

I dont think ccs would do that unless it would damage the book.

Now I need to check my Campbell to see if it was pressed

yeah, I wouldn't think so either .... now I'm pretty PO'd

here was my submission summary

Submission Summary

Private Signing (1)
Grading (1)
Pressing (1)
In House Signing Grading $75.00
Handling $5.00
In House Signing Pressing $20.00
UPS Shipping $16.00
Subtotal $116.00

Total (1) $116.00

it also went to "received at CCS" when received and entered which would indicate they knew it was to be pressed

my invoice shows a total of $96 with no pressing fee listed ....at the top of the invoice under the CGC logo there is a CCS Service field that has a P in is which I assume confirms a press (?)

I also would assume there is no separate invoice I'm not seeing for CCS services

really don't want to send this book back to them at this point

Here is what I see on my invoice.....

@Chazgee does this mean mine wasnt pressed either? I would assume the "p" at the top stands for press but idk

The only reference to ccs is at the top and not the money part

If both pics are from the CCS invoice, then it looks like your books were pressed. I would call and check, just to make sure.
