It's really irritating how WT continually stiffed Lovecraft on the cover art year after year, even in death. It's hard to fathom today, but WT's "star" writer was Seabury Quinn. Both this issue and the "Shadow Over Innsmouth" issue give Quinn the cover over HPL.

Posted my copy on the last page, but interesting that the Canadian WT reissue of the Shadow Over Innsmouth did choose to feature Lovecraft on the cover only a few months after the US issue did not.

It's definitely an oddity, but it (and all the ASE's, really) is definitely historically important.  Would love to track down a copy some day, but I'm not holding my breath until I do!

One observation about the Dunwich Horror ASE...it's an excellent selection of stories!

Some of the better longer titles like At the Mountains of Madness and The Case of Charles Dexter Ward are necessarily omitted for space reasons, but the rest of the selections are top-notch.  The weakest entries, I think, are the last two: The Moon-Bog and The Hound.  I think I'd replace those with Dagon, Cool Air, and The Temple.  But overall, wow, great selections!

I got to Borderlands yesterday. What a great store; neat well organized and full of wonderful product. I picked up an RE Howard collection of non-Conan stories and am looking forward to reading in the weeks ahead. Also had a fantastic lunch a few blocks away at a Peruvian restaurant called Limon. And another plus is that our Muni ride over took us to the top of Dolores Park for an amazing view of the city. I'd never been to that park before; what a treat!

It's a good store, if we're talking REH I got the Ace Double D-36 is amazing condition from them several years ago. 

Never been to Limon, every time I get down to Valencia I wind up going to Puerto Allegra.  One of my favorite restaurants in SF, I think it's the ONLY one I've been to every single time I've visited my sister.

We thought about going there but we have some much good Mexican food in SoCal we thought we would try something different. Good to know about though as we will be going back for sure.

Not sure, I've got the list of HPL/ REH/ Brundage figured out but not one with CAS.  What makes July 1933 unique is it's the only one with actual new stories by both HPL and REH with the Brundage cover.  All the others either a story is a reprint, or it's a poem or a letter.
