Any advice on taking photos that are clear with no reflections ? Pictures are for the Registry.

Are you talking in the slab? 

Natural sun light and a solid background seems to work well.

agree with KCO - after several attempts at moving the camera around to avoid reflection of the flash or overhead lights, I just brought it outside, took a pic and brought it right back inside.

the other thing I did was to bring them into work and use the large scanners we have there which could accommodate the size of them.

A cheap photo box works or as others said, natural sunlight outside.  Really makes the colors on the cover pop as well.  That's how i've been taking most of my Instagram pictures.  Of course don't leave the book in direct sunlight for longer than you need to.

Just don't do this when it is raining. The cloud cover will produce poor results.

I use an app called PhotoScan on my phone. It helps with glare.
