Archie art

9 posts in this topic

I have a page of original Archie artfrom the late 80s or early 90s: "Veronica's Hair Care Tips." It's a single page piece and not merely one page from a story. It's professionally framed side by side with the actual page from the comic. I'm considering selling. Any idea what it could fetch on the open market? On Ebay?

I think I saw Neat Stuff Collectibles on eBay with a ton of '80s/'90s Archie pages 2 or 3 months ago, both 1-pagers and multi-page stories...they were priced around $20 each and I believe most went unsold. As far as I can tell, there's not much of a market out there for this stuff.

On the whole there's not much demand for most Modern/generic original comic art. I'm always seeing tons of "Modern pages" at shows with no takers, and Archie's are especially tough to move as there's so dang much of it, and the content rarely changes that much.

Hmmm... as I thought. I may try to sell it on eBay outside the normal comic art market arena. I think the framing is more expensive than the actual art. Thanks for the input everyone.
