Tom, I'm afraid I am beginning to have a problem with you after all. What concerns me is your unwillingness to respond to an apology. I've done it twice now, once on these threads and another in response to a PM you sent me. So, how about? Forgive and forget?

 

Secondly, you just don't get it.

 

It's fine for Rick or anyone else to point out to what an anonymous seller is doing on e-bay. We talk about it, call the guy a scammer, email him and have a pretty good time doing it. Great way to vent some frustration.

 

It's a different thing here with Supa. This is a guy I (we) know to a certain degree on a personal level. I would hate for anyone to leave these posts over someone attacking an individual simply because he got caught doing something he shouldn't have done. It's already happened. I remember a mouse chasing someone away here a few months ago. I will not hold this against him.

 

Why?

I was going to send this in a pm, but since it will get posted anyway......I can continue to reply to these posts till I'm blue in the face, but this is it. Bug- not once have I ever replied to anything you ever posted. I have read your posts in the past, but usually skip over most of them since I have found there is really nothing you contribute to this forum. This is a comic forum, not a forum for being a clown. I'm sure some posters get a kick out of you, but I just usually skip over anything you post. Not trying to bust on you, but their is nothing in your posts that show any knowledge about comics, and I'm here to try to learn more about the hobby. I guess I can say the same about MOS and Kaos. I only collect hg silver, and both of you don't really seem to know much about the subject. I have it in for Arairch because he thought it would be fun to gang up on me along with kaos and mcd in the Mr.Green thread. When he asked for help in another thread, I offered to help him, since I did not hold a grudge, and was shut down like I murdered his favorite pet. Nina- sorry I did not reply to your apology on your pm, but immediately following that pm, you include me in a post in which I had absolutely nothing to do with. Seems like you were just trying to get in on the fun, baiting me into the thread to try to start something. We have different opinions. I think shill bidding is wrong, no matter who does it. I think overgrading is wrong, as well. I don't think bidding within Ebay guidelines is wrong. I think trolling / baiting is wrong as well. I just find it funny that all of your high and mighty morals do not apply to your internet friends, or for that matter, yourselves. Bug and mos had nothing to do with any of the discussions I was involved in, but had nothing better to do, so jumped in only to bait me into a fight, very sad. You can continue posting all you want about me ad nausem, I'm here to talk about comics and Ebay..... not fight with a very small number of posters who have nothing better to do in their lives.

What's sad Tom, is that you probably believe that windbag of a post you just made. The only thing I've seen you contribute to this forum is arrogance and ignorance. I also skip over your posts because they are all the same. Tom is right and the rest of the world is wrong. Give it a rest and seek some treatment.

 

Araich is one of the most honest posters on this board. If you have a problem with him, then you have a problem with me.......a permanent one. I saw the thread where you tried to help him. He was one hundred percent honest and said he didn't want your help. And, based on your previous posts, I can't blame him and would have told you the same thing......just not as nicely as he did.

 

You state that you "think trolling / baiting is wrong as well"......and yet you threatened to hound Araich any time he posted a book up for auction. You insufficiently_thoughtful_person, that is trolling and baiting. Based on the two strikes you recieved in one day and based on the pm you sent to me yesterday......I'd say you deserve everything you're getting.

Yo....Araich.....I honestly can't believe you pulled that auction and relisted it as with such a low grade. I know some of the posters meant well in criticizing your book, but you know how hard people are in here on others books.

 

I had a CGC copy of Batman #185 with a WORSE back cover than that. It was not only soiled, but the paper on the back cover was actually scuffed a little bit as well......almost like it had been rubbed back and forth over a dirty surface. CGC just doesn't seem to be as hard on the back covers as the forum members are.

 

What grade did CGC give it when I sent it in? A 9.0 VF/NM.

 

Your book was accurate with your original grade of 8.5 and you shouldn't have changed it because some insufficiently_thoughtful_person starts a thread and the nitpick police come in and tear it apart. Especially with grading being subjective and you providing HUGE scans of the front AND back covers. It's a nice book and it makes me mad knowing you pulled it and relisted it with a grade that's too low for it. mad.gif

There were several reasons relisting the book at a modified grade.

 

[*]1) The overall member concensus was that the book looked more like a 7.0 - 8.0 .

 

[*]2) I compared the Bats 200 to other grade 8.5 that I have to say that structuraly it was equal but the scuffing would probably have been a factor in the world of CGC. Thus dropping the grade.

 

[*]3) The first scan was from my scanner in work. The scan that I had submitted on the forum was from home. The scuffing was evidant in both scans so I had to honestly rethink my grading on the book.

 

[*]4) Sometimes it is hard to grade a book with an unbiased opinion since we all want our books to be better than they are. So based on this I regrouped and regraded the book from a buyers perspective.

 

And last, but not least, I would rather sell a book undergraded and have a happy buyer then have to do the refund/return thing.

2) "Shill bidding" is the same thing as "Punishment Bidding"... either way you're just trying to drive up the price on books that you have no intention of actually purchasing.
