From my understanding, the gentleman brought in all the books to sell. The 181 was at the bottom of the box and brought out last. He was attempting to straighten it out when the shop owner recognized what was in his hands.

That's what I do with my comics too! I ruin the spine trying to "straighten it out". He looked offended when the guy took it out of his hands.

"HEY! I wasn't through DESTROYING that book!!"

They are simply being patriots, they want comics to be affordable to all so they make them less expensive.
