Does CGC use Electronic Equipment to help in grading or is it all done by human Visuals

I was looking at Sending in a Secret Wars 1 to be graded an it looked OK.

As part of my new process I now scan all my books front and back to ensure I get right books back.

When I look at the book in my hands it looks fine.

When I scan the books I end up seeing a load of spine breaks I cannot see with the naked eye.

I am just curious if they scan books in as part of grading and use those to find problems that exist.

Or else my eyes are getting really bad
