As far as I know, the only time magnification is used at CGC when grading is for getting a closer look at suspicious areas that may have been restored. Liz is absolutely correct---good old 20/20 vision (or better) is all you really need for grading comic books...  (thumbsu

Alright sounds good.  Using magnification on the spine can drive you nuts too.

There are times when a jeweler's loupe can be very useful, but it's tough to properly grade a book and look for resto at the same time...  :foryou:
