I'm skeptical until we get something more concrete, but it doesn't pass the smell test so far. A far more reliable source is needed, and there's no way it's the MH copy for just 4.5mil USD.

Exactly…the headline said MH copy and now they have changed it.  MH copy might be a 20-25 million dollar book right now, and like it was mentioned earlier, the $10,000,000 dollar number has been thrown around as being turned down for at least the past 10-15 years.

How could you possibly take anything seriously from a website that values mid-grades at less than low grade books???

Were the MH Action 1 to actually come to market,  I would think it would sell at a highly publicized  Heritage auction.  Would be silly to make a private sale.

I'm not inclined to believe that $4.5 mil is the declared value, and the remaining sum was transferred to an offshore bank account in an attempt to commit tax fraud.

Didn't the owner (the dentist) have kids that were into comics as well? I don't think he would sell it without passing it on to them. I could be wrong.

I hope we can get to the bottom of this and find out the truth.  This is a huge deal if the above is true.  Possibly could be an oversight or a huge trade deal (comics, other collectibles, crypto, land property, pirate ship?) + the $4.5 mil cash that went down.

I have no problem believing a nice raw copy surfaced after years in a black hole and changed hands for 4.5, but there is no way from minute one that I ever believed it’s the MH.

Any details we can get to confirm the actual book and the deal are of course interesting but if little more emerges that’s perfectly understandable on the part of both participants too.
