The closeup photos show that there are tears, creases and rumples that are hard to see in the first photo. (Scans are better at picking up this stuff.) I totally agree, and think the stain is the wild card as far as grading goes...I'd put myself in the 4.5 camp because of it. Beautiful book! The cover colors really pop...
