I finally managed to get thru Volume 1, and am in no rush to read Volume 2.

My favorite Kirby DC's are Mister Miracle, Kamandi, Sandman (yes I realize I am in the minority here.)

The others are fine, just not as good to me.

its really really good the way Kirby connects with timeless, mythic themes. 
Its a pop cultural celebration of the  basic human themes explored in the sumeric Gilgamesh epos, the norse Volsunga-saga, the german Niebelungen folklore. And in Lucas who ripped Kirby off with the Star Wars franschise afterwards.

I cannot recommend Kirbys FW high enough.

agreed.  the dialogue is goofy but there's jut this power to it.

Demon really got me back then.  It really seemed so cool and supernatural.  Kamandi is top notch.
