PredatorSmurf
I have seen this on a few comics that were gifted to me. I know some would benefit from grading but I’m worried that this kind of damage is not reversible. Would a good press/humility chamber cleaning fix this? thank you! theCapraAegagrus
Doesn't look like water damage to me.
marvelmaniac
Any chance we can get clearer pictures including one of the entire front cover, both sides and the splash page.

PredatorSmurf
No, I don’t think it was pressed though I suspect it was read in the bathroom by previous owner. Not saying it’s pee but I feel maybe he splashed it from washing his hands. I have another comic from him that has it worse. I’ll add the picture tomorrow. ThothAmon
Doubtful it can be rehabbed but I do know a good dermatologist. PredatorSmurf and The Lions Den 1
Mr. Zipper
For what it's worth, with those spine stresses... this is a $10 book. The cost of pressing and grading are more than the book's value. PredatorSmurf
PredatorSmurf
Here are better pictures of other books with the same issues. I’m not trying to get these graded, though the box had a few keys like NYX #3 and Old Republic #9 that have small to similar version of these issues. They were free comics and overall look great except for these negs but if I can fix them by pressing of humidifying, I would do it.
Topnotchman
A professional can greatly improve those defects. PredatorSmurf

Given there are not color breaks, pressing would likely totally eliminate the moisture wrinkles. PredatorSmurf
djzombi
Definitely moisture damage - pressing would get rid of rippling, but not any related staining. Those severe spine crease marks on Legacy would also not be "corrected." PredatorSmurf

There is damage to the cover gloss, so there will always be remnants of the damage that no amount of pressing will eliminate. Look better? Yes. Eliminate 100%? No. KCOComics, The Lions Den, PredatorSmurf and 2 others 3
