Nope.  Termite damage, for sure (and unfortunately an entire box containing over 200 otherwise beautiful books nourished this particular colony  ).  But here are a few Atlas books from another original owner collection out of Petaluma, CA (once known as "The Egg Capital of the World").  The entire collection was stored in a henhouse (where it became an easy target for hungry rodents):
