Anybody watch this today?    Notable sales?    Items to watch for tomorrow?

I noticed the pokemon splash at 52k, and I noticed the Beta mtg starter randomly placed in this auction (seemed out of place).

I knew the Akira cels would go for big money, but I'm mad I missed the Astro Boy lots. Thought they went very cheap.

That’s too bad.   I hate it when I miss something.    Happens a fair bit.    Hard to have a life and follow all of these auctions too.

I can't keep up with it all. :frustrated:

This week we've had:

Heritage Weekly (Comics/Comic Art)

Heritage Bob Peak Collection (Illustration Art)

Heritage Bobby Murphy Collection (Strip Art)

ComicLink Featured Auction (Comics/Comic Art)

And in the next 3 days:

Heritage Anime/International Art Auction (Comics/Illustration Art - session 1 was today, session 2 tomorrow)

ComicConnect (Comic Art portion of the Event Auction)

Hake's (variety, including Comic Art)

This :censored: is totally out of hand

Gotta make hay while the sun's still shining.

There's a fantastic Moebius splash that's going to go for huge money.

I underbid two lots today, including one piece I thought I had no chance on. Definitely a mixed bag of results today; some standouts to be sure, but, also a few lots may have even qualified as deals (an opinion shared by others I know who were tracking this sale very closely). hm

Yeah results didn't seem as all-around solid as Wed's Featured CLink.

Liefeld X-Force $27,500 - Very strong

Quesada DD: Father $8,125 - Strong

Zeck SSM $22,500 - Neutral

Starlin MU: TE $4,000 - Weak

See how Signature HA opening next week does.

$118,750, which was actually not that much, relatively speaking.

Surely the Frenz ASM 252 p.9 at $100,000 merits a mention?

Other notable results:

Prince Valiant from 1970--$17,500 (very strong for such a recent piece.  Following on the heels of a 1962 PV that sold for $19,800 in the Bobby Murphy Collection auction, PVs seem to be picking up steam)

Flash Gordon from 1943--$42,500 (extremely strong for a piece from the 1940s)

Don Rosa Life & Times of Scrooge McDuck #288 cover--$25,000
