210 DAYS for Economy! Really CGC? Where is all the extra help that was hired to bring the turnaround times down to a decent time? You want to show that you really care about your customers?, how about making all the submissions fast track at no extra charge to make up for the fact that turnaround times have not gotten better? Do you think its good customer service to make people wait for ALMOST A YEAR!!! Get a grip on reality and justify all the price increases by offering a good service.

What is the reality they should be gripping?

They got new ownership last year, they already slowish at the beginning of the pandemic.  And then everyone stayed home, looked through their comics and finally submitted them, and then new ownership started pushing CGC SS events all day AND CGC trading cards.  They're making tons more money than before, with tons more submissions, even if they've added staff (which I believe they have) it hasn't been able to keep up with demand BUT PEOPLE STILL KEEP SENDING IN BOOKS BECAUSE ITS A MONOPOLY.  Turnaround times are horrendous, AND PEOPLE KEEP SENDING IN BOOKS.  They're not in metropolis so potential workers are finite, we are still in a pandemic, and if you research a bit you'll see that they are testing new faster methods.

If you've added 20% more staff but got 25% more submissions you still fall farther behind.

Isn't there at least a chance that raising their prices might help get better faster equipment and higher and train more workers in the short-medium run?

You think upper management should base their decisions on an impatient customer today who's money they've already got?  Their profits are almost certainly fine today and they should be making plans to smooth things out in the long run.  You're the one not living in reality if you think they're placing the 5-10% currently unhappy customer ahead of their big-business long-term strategies that would ideally increase revenues/efficiencies by much more than that.

But also, they sure as EFFFFF better fix those newton rings.

EDIT: I'm not actually defending anything they're doing, but if one is not at least trying to frame their arguments considering a management perspective, the criticism while warranted probably won't impact.

Is the new building up and running yet?

That's for storing and processing Trading Cards from eBay for authentication.   Since they could not announce the deal with eBay, until an agreed upon date,it in effect served as nice misdirect to CGC's advantage

Myself I don't believe there was any extra staff actually hired to grade comics. If they had done so they would have likley have bragged about it.

PSA: 5-10% unhappy customers is huuuge.

If they fast tracked every order...how would that change anything?
