PGM ASM #122 3 3

Here is my copy of Amazing Spider-Man #122, which contains the “death” of the original Green Goblin.

Here are the issues as I see them:

There is a small crease at the bottom right-hand corner of the front cover, and it breaks color. There is a date stamp on the E of SPIDER-MAN on the front cover There are two smudges on the back cover, one near the upper left-hand corner of the back cover, and the other near the bottom middle of the back cover. I would cross my fingers that a cleaning would get most of those two smudges. There is definitely spine roll, but I believe that a press would improve the book. The cover is firmly attached at both staples.

I think that this is a very nice copy, but I think that this book could be improved by a cleaning/pressing. What are your thoughts? Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

I think the fingerprints are big factors for the great grade drop but I am not sure how much the grade will be affected. I think one grade will be off.

Before the smudges, the book looks VF+ 8.5.  With those smudges, it may go down to either 7.0/7.5.   CGC graders are tough today.

I would say 8.5 also after C&P.  It looks like there are a couple more smudges on the back cover, middle left edge.

I sure hope the fingerprint can be removed with the C&P.

Would a clean lessen the intensity of the fingerprint? In other words, would it make less visible?

7.5 as is.

C&P may get it to 8.0 but I doubt a cleaning will remove those fingerprints.

Agreed.

7.5 as is. Date stamp is cool and book is a stunner.

7.5 as is. See what the results are after the C&P if anything they should be less noticeable

8.0 from the what I can see..  Could go to a 9.0 W/ C&P.. Really nice copy
