I’m meeting Frank and since this might be my only chance I’d like to get my all time favorite Comic CGC SS’d. Anyway this was the best copy I could find locally and I can’t decide if it’s good enough or I should find better. Thanks.

Yes, also how is the bottom right FC corner. Can't see it in your pic. Assuming it is okay 7.0/7.5. That's pretty good for a signature.

agreed on 7.5. As an alternative, I might suggest Spectacular spider-man #27. You can buy a mint of that book for a reasonable price. (first frank miller daredevil artwork).

Thanks for all the feedback. To answer a couple questions, I’m not fussy about only getting NM++ books signed but I do like them to be around 8.5s or better since I usually display them. I’ve been looking at copies of this book on eBay and that back cover corners/color rub seems like a chronic problem with this book. Every copy seems to have degrees of damage there.
 

Anyway I was hoping this one might sneak into the 8.5 range (the front really looks nice) but I guess I was being overly optimistic. Guess I’ll keep an eye on the boards/Ebay for a better copy or pivot to a cool DD if I run out of time. Thanks again.

Well, I was waiting for a verdict here so I just started looking for a better copy. Nobody has listed one on the boards and so far it seems like every raw on eBay has that corner/spine scuffing similar to mine and/or other issues like scratches, color rubbing, etc. Copies listed as “NM” seem to go for around $150 but that’s assuming they’re right. Mine was sold to me as “VF” and it seems from the opinions here it’s lower than that. 

I’m not sure what I’m going to do because I hate to drop another $100+ on a copy that might only grade .5-1 pt better than this one. Maybe I’ll look for one already graded (but I hate cracking slabs). I have until May 15th so exactly one month til I meet Frank!

I enjoy hunting in person at cons or LCSs. Online it’s miserable. Pictures are hard to judge condition, people ask for ridiculous amounts and/or refuse to deal reasonably.., I’ll keep an eye out but I’ll probably end up settling for this one or buying a cheap DD. Anyway thanks for participating in my thread.

Given the superior condition of so much of the majority of the book, I think you might get an 8.0-8.5 depending on the current mood.
