real fact cover(s) too. there must be more!

Real Fact 5 has Batman and Robin.  No issue has Superman on the cover.

This leaves out Superboy cover appearances in Adventure, which would add considerably to the Superman total.

Yep, Superman/Superboy combined are clearly no. 1.  But, they are really two different characters.  Superboy's covers on MF, Adventure, and Superboy are not enough, to overtake the big 3 because he got started a bit late.

Superman Tim is not really a comic, let alone a DC comic, so I don't count those.

When I look at the list in the first post, what leaps out to me is that post D 38 there are 11 covers of Batman and Detective on which there's no Robin.  Everyone wants pre-Robin.  Does anyone collect the post-Robin no Robin covers?

It's listed as a DC publication and 21 of the issues included a new Superman story that made up more than 50% of the issue.  I would at least count those 21.

Hmmmm.  That seems like a reasonable argument. But what the stories about?  I've never opened one.  I thought they were essentially an ad publication.

This is from 1954 Came with the Superman costume.

That looks like a comic to me.  But it doesn't really have a cover.  And I'm a bit afraid of going in the giveaway rabbit hole.  I'm thinking of just sticking to DC newsstand publications as that is simple and clear.

Cool list, interesting! Superboy #1 should definitely be added to the list of Superman covers (see pic), and New York World's Fair 1940 would get added to all three characters' totals.
