Deutero
Not the biggest fan of Daredevil but I am a Spidey fan. This issue is John Romita Sr’s first work on Spider-Man and I’ve always like the cover. The bottom staple is giving me the most trouble with my own grading. It’s partially detached, in that it’s detached from the front cover but still attached to the back cover (is there a term for this?). I think I will send this comic in, but I am a little concerned the bottom staple could become fully detached during handling by CGC. Anyway over to you guys, what grade do you think this is? Thanks in advance! Edited August 30, 2022 by Deutero Grade is in Galen130
LowGradeBronze
To me this is a 4.0 or maybe 4.5 best, with the spine wear and part detached staple. Presents well for a 4.0 though. Deutero

Deutero
@grendelbo @Bayowolf What do you guys think it would be if the bottom staple was fully detached? I’m pretty sure my Batman #171 had a partially detached staple when I sent it in, but the grader’s notes had it is fully detached. As such I think there’s a fairly strong chance of it becoming fully detached when I send it in. Thanks

Galen130
5.0/5.5 Maybe send it to an independent presser instead of CCS/CGC. Just a thought… Deutero

Me, too - I was thinking 6.0 until I saw the staple - I thought that would have hurt it, but it came up aces for the OP. Congrats!
