Why is this in my collection?a rétrospective on collecting habits 1 1

I was searching for something and stumbled on other stuff i hoarded many years ago and hhhurrgg what was i thinking ? yes i stumbled on cereals i did put aside in my collection and almost forgot aboutyes still unopened and sealed of course!plus a spidey wafflemaker still in box unopened?in rétrospect i find it baffling and yet remember clearly putting it in my collection but the why escapes me totally !has something like this ever happened to you?please share in this thread  and let the unexplainable be unveiled !

Far more imaginative than a super-hero duvet cover. We’ve all seen those.  I should clarify that I never had one myself. Deprived childhood.

Waffles aren’t that popular at breakfast here in England. More difficult to put a Spidey imprint like that in some Scott’s Porage Oats.

Lol call it ironic but.

A LCS was posting what they got in recently and there were two boxes of unopened cereal: frankenberry and count chocula....

I didn't ask them about it, just liked the post and moved on,, but part of me wondered the inspiration and the why

Wow yes i remember those!i did put some aside back then but after 10 years my mother threw them in the garbage.

When I was younger and long before the internet I bought almost every Marvel Related nick-knack I found in stores, just because I "had" to have it, I am guessing this is what happened with you.

To be fair, there junk food collecting is a hobby in and of itself, particularly branded stuff like that. I'm a longtime fan of Matt over at Dinosaur Dracula (formerly X-Entertainment) and he has a large collection of sealed foods dating back 30+ years. So, you're definitely not alone!

I still have an unopened box of Batman cereal from 1989 !
