Galen130
World War Stories #3. This issue features stories based on WWI. This comic has some major issues. There is a tear on the front cover, starting at the bottom, that goes through the page. It is still attached by about two inches of paper. I found the comic this way...the tear may have occurred when it was taken out of, and put back into, the comic bag. I was extremely careful when putting this comic into a new Golden Age-sized back with board. The cover, and the first two wraps, are detached from the bottom staple. FR, give or take; cream to off-white pages. $
Galen130
Yogi Bear Birthday Party, Four Color 1271. Using four-color plates in production, this comic is loosely based on the 2-part T.V. episode 'Birthday Party'. This comic is complete and readable, but there are sizeable tears on the spine that leave partial detachment of the cover at the staples. There is a sizeable spine roll, while the back cover has a postage label that is partly removed from the page creating tape pull. The tear below the bottom staple (more evident on the back) goes through the whole comic, being no bigger than an inch on the back. FR, maybe better; off-white pages. $

The scans tell it all, especially the front cover, which is close to detaching from the top staple. There's a chunk of paper missing near the bottom spine corner, on the front. The front cover's right page edge....YIKES!! There is a spine roll as well. The comic is complete and readable. GD, no better; off-white pages. $3 On 7/22/2022 at 2:20 PM, Galen130 said: Charlton Bullseye #8 (low print run). This comic has some issues, but it's intact and readable. The cover is detached from the top staple, and barely hanging on at the bottom staple. It's not valuable, so... FREE with any purchase. Galen130
Ironic that the title for this thread was thought up during our July heatwave here in Colorado. Yesterday and today, it’s highs in the 70s and lots of rain. So far, our fire season has been minimal. It’s a 40 degree difference from a week ago tomorrow. The humidity, on the other hand, has been higher than usual. Still, not a bad thing. Just wanted to drop this here for the hell of it. Galen130
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea #12, George Wilson painted cover. I have two copies of this issue, both with their own specific defects. Copy #1: This comic has a tear in the front cover that is held on by about an inch worth of paper. It starts at the bottom. There is another tear on the front cover, at the 'D' in 'Gold' that goes through the first few wraps. There is a moderate spine roll as well. The comic is complete and the cover is attached. Copy#2: This comic is structurally sound, but it has a nasty spine roll. There are small tears on the spine, but the cover is attached. The back cover shows stains and/or fingerprints near the top edge, along with some wrinkling. The front cover has some color loss, as well as ink-breaking creases. I'm giving both copies the same top grade estimate because of the different defects between them. Better safe than sorry. GD, or less; cream to off-white pages (both copies) $7 shipped (each copy) COPY #1 COPY #

Lot's of Charlton, Gold Key/Whitman, Disney, cartoons, and a few Marvel/DC comics/drek will be added starting today. Galen130
Walt Disney The Beagle Boys vs. Uncle Scrooge #7 (Gold Key). This comic is the Whitman variant. A bunch of the interior wraps (not including the first few outer wraps) show rough corners either from a bad cut or possible tears. It’s hard to tell, but the first few wraps don’t really show this problem. I doubt it’s bug chew, but my eyes aren’t that good. I will provide additional scans/photos if requested. FN/VF, or better; off-white pages. $8 Edited September 3, 2022 by Galen130
Galen130
Walt Disney Chip ‘N’ Dale #28 (Gold Key). This comic is the Whitman variant. This comic isn't in bad shape, minus the full length ink-breaking crease on the front cover's left side. Other defects that are hard to see are lots of crinkles or finger bends on both covers, as well as a few areas of light moisture damage that barely affect the interior pages. Any soiling in these areas is very minimal. The hidden problem is that the four inner wraps inside are detached from the bottom staple. GD, or better; cream to off-white pages. $6 Edited September 3, 2022 by Galen130
Galen130
Dead of Night #7. This issue reprints stories from Mystic #21 (1954), Mystery Tales #21 (1954), Strange Tales of the Unusual #1 (1955), and World of Fantasy #19 (1959). A couple of these stories features works by Steve Ditko and John Buscema…Stan Lee editing. GD/VG, give or take; cream pages. There is a page corner inside that has folded over, but it did not tear. $7 SOLD TO @Dr. Balls Edited September 7, 2022 by Galen130

Galen130
Walt Disney Donald Duck #210 (Gold Key). This issue is the Whitman variant, and it contains reprints of Walt Disney’s Donald Duck #70 & #72 (Dell). The scans speak for themselves, but what you may not see are some of the interior wrap corners at the bottom right are folded over inside. There don't appear to be any tears. VG/FN, or better; off-white pages. $8 Edited September 3, 2022 by Galen130
