PGM Giant Size X-Men #1 + See the seller's grade 3 3

Hi folks! Happy with this banged up but still presentable copy of this long held collecting goal of mine. I'm gonna put the grade the seller had it at (I largely agree with it) here under a spoiler tag, have a look and then come back to see if you're over or under!

4.0/VG

Issues include but are not limited to various color breaking scuffs and scrapes, some overspray up top, a light crease through Collosus' head on the front and one diagonally on the back, lots of indents, that upper left corner chipping, and general dirt and grime + plus some discoloration. She's got character! Thanks for having a look.

I agree. 4.0/4.5. I can see this pressing 2 grades higher.

I'm going to stick my neck out at 5.5. Yeah, it's got a tear and a crease on the back cover, but there's lots to like about the front. I've seen a lot of 4.0's and most have a lot more going on on the front cover than this one.

Yeah, what drew me to this one (aside from it being in my budget) was the fact that most other copies in the purported range are obviously more beat up.

Yup, that's fair enough. There's also a small gash on the first page, but maybe not as bad in hand... and light crease on Colossus on the front. I could see 5.0.

Congratulations... huge pickup! I'd be extremely happy with a copy like that with such eye appeal for the grade. 

I'd say there's a good chance at a 5.0 with a press.

seller grades tight. i give it a 4.0. would be much higher if not for the corner tear and big back crease
