  2. All interest is (obviously) on the 8.5 Kansas City Action #1 and it's multi-million dollar hammer price ............... Action #1 mod-restored 8.0 is over $330K with juice ---- any guesses where this will end / should end at ? Can it hit $500K with juice ?
  3. a very nice-presenting 3.5 coming up on C-Link
  4. Many of those books were sitting in the collections of people with undue influence in the hobby—people whose support CGC needed in order to succeed in the early days this ....... back then and even now I believe (Promise grading anyone ?)
  5. I respectfully disagree -- this page is killer and I think it will go north of $150K .........
  6. Talk about needing this so bad !!!! But what I'd have to sell to get it would be VERY painful....
  7. I think $100K right on ..... no more or less ..... but very early Spidey with Kirby pencils and Ditko inks must be 6 figures in my book .....
  8. Agree ? Disagree ? Let's just say that I so HOPE that your theory is correct, I would tend to think that OA will grow in desirability as it is truly "One-of-One"
  9. just awesome to see !! Mine is enslaved in a slab and I haven't seen real insides for a while - Thanks !

  11. Just shows the unpredictable nature of auctions .... it takes at least two to tango and to push a book to a higher hammer price ..... the $49K is definitely lower than one would expect in Feb 2024 though .........
  12. C'mon !!!! 9.8 !!!!!! That's in sane !!
  13. And they would have needed to be, or today would be, in a separate adult-only section out of sight from kids ...... just some of those covers alone (again, I have several and I love them) are very graphic
  14. Are you guys considering this in the future, possibly ? Us vintage concert poster collectors would love to have access to it ....
  15. Yes, I think we just gloss over the actual content and ridicule him and his "arguments", and some were definitely ridiculous - some of those covers, Man !! - I love them, and I have collected several of them, but even with today's standards they are "questionable". I am no defender of Wertham, but c'mon , things were going too far for sure. If these were adult-only books, no problem go for it, but I wouldn't have wanted my kids looking or reading that stuff as young kids in the 1950's or the 2020's .........
  16. I have tried to look all over your site, but I cannot find posters listed in your overall "census" .... only comics and some magazines I can find Thanks FISHBONE
  17. The thing I don't get is why there are 5 full pages in this thread Storage locker bad = don't do it = thank you, next thread .......
  18. ……soooooo, no one knows anything beyond the 2019/20 ruling of it “going to trial “ ? Did it ? Is it still on hold from the Covid days ?
  19. Is there an update on this lawsuit from a few years back ? What happened ? …… curious
