Can CGC pull out a book that is already in line to be graded? 1 1

The status of my books are "received". Now there is an upcoming private signing, where I can use one of my books in that "received" pile that is still in a window bag for that but after calling customer service, all she can tell me was "it was in the logistics" and "policy", which I still can't understand enough since it will save me money from sending it back to them and also eliminating the chance of a lower grade if they crack it open again for the said signing. Is this because it will create confusion on their part? Thanks!
