Yep! To me, the sickest and most troubling PCH story. It’s that last panel… To my nine year old mind, it was like nothing I’d ever seen in a “comic book”. I never saw that ending coming…

I have a pretty near complete PCH collection and have read hundreds of stories. Probably many better but that one just sticks with me…

Indeed! Ghastly gets all the love but Reed Crandall did some amazing work for EC.

I think the sickest story I've read was in Underworld 3;  I won't show the several pages where she buries hatchets into men's and children's heads.

Love Reed Crandall’s “The Corpse that Came to Dinner” from Out of the Shadows 9.

Joe Orlando’s “Midnight Mess” from Tales From the Crypt 35 has my favorite final panel.

Also love Jack Davis’ “Foul Play.”  Panel used in Wertham’s SOTI.

Comic books have destroyed my mind and sanity.
