I submitted it and I agree that the piece was there when it was graded. But as usual, when you question CGC graders they seem to have an answer that's in their favor. I had close to 60 copies, bought wholesale in 1982 and although CGC says this is a common bindery tear none of my copies seem to have been affected. No grader notes, of course, and tear not noted on label.

I don’t think submissions will drop.  I just think more customers will be turned on to CCS and the “magic” they can perform.   I don’t know the percentage, but I imagine a large number of newb submitters press everything, having not a clue what an actual ‘pressable defect’ is.  This book will teach the muppets that comics with CB creases & stains are not ideal candidates, and help them understand the disappointment they felt when they got their books back.

Newly empowered....their CCS submissions will start coming back with more favourable results, and they’ll start ramping up their CCS/CGC submissions.

I live in Canada, and I just tried to order. The only shipping option seems to be UPS Worldwide Saver which costs $32.15 for the guide only.  I'll pass on that for now.  I don't need it delivered in one day, and I am not willing to pay more in shipping than the price of the book.  Let me know CGC when you have a better shipping option.
