ASM 122 2 2

I bought it from a bordie a year ago.  He graded it 7.0.  I have a strong feeling this book is under 7.0 but let you judge it.

The front cover looks nice but the back cover is hard to see but under the light, it shows some telltale defects.  From the man's right eye to the right bottom yellow box area.

See those images from the different angles....crease lines.

I think a press would takeout someof those back defects. If o then with a good FC you can have a 7.0 or even 8.0!

Not seeing your second post at first, I was confused as to what was knocking it down to 7.0 in the first place.  I don’t think 7.0 is too far off.  Maybe a FN as it sits right now

I don't see anything wrong with calling this a 7.0, pressing will improve.

No the staples are fine. Just little dark.

7.5 with a C&P. Maybe higher if they do a really good job with the pressing. Nice book!

Thanks for bringing it up.  I was told that book was already pressed before I purchased.

So grading the comic as is, and based on scans that make it challenging to see the full magnitude of the back cover defects, I'd say 6.5 is about right, provided there aren't any significant interior problems.  Maybe 6.0 if there is a tear on the back cover at the bottom staple, as I can't tell if the cover is torn or there's just another paper-breaking stress line there.

I'd have it pressed again. I better pressing job should improve the deep creasing that's still visible on the back cover, (IMHO).

There is no tear on the book.
