Vancouver (BC) Comic and Toy Show April 1-2, 2023 PNE Forum 40k square feet pop culture, Canada 1 1

This comic-centric Vancouver, BC show is finally expanding into a two (2) day extravaganza due to high demand from vendors and collectors at the same Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) Forum location. Pop culture fun for the family. Most 8' long dealer wall tables already sold out. Vendor's tables sold as a $142 weekend package; no separate Saturday or Sunday only dealer's tables (not booths). Several $100 and $50 door prizes to be given away in the line up. Mostly independent press local comic creators. Map, guest updates and more info here:

General adult admission is Saturday $22, Sunday only $15, 2 day pass only $25. Vendor parking $15/day on PNE site. Friday dealer load-in is recommended. Hope to see you all there.

90% of the 400 x 8' dealer's and artist alley table max capacity have already been sold for this expanded 2 day April 1-2, 2023 pop culture extravaganza. All dealer wall tables sold out. Comic and toy vendors will be driving in from Calgary, AB, Campbell River, Nanaimo, Victoria, Abbotsford, BC, etc. Discounted Coast Atrium hotel (across the street from PNE) rate is available for out of town vendors and collectors.

$22 admission seems steep for this show. Why the big increase since the last one in October, which was only $15? I remember when it was $8 only a few years back...

Yes, don't they realize that the pandemic driven irrational FOMO days of the past two years are well behind us in the rear view mirror now?

Guess Van Comic Show (VCS) raised Sat. admission to $22, as their pop culture show has doubled the amount of dealers (1 comic dealer confirmed driving in from Calgary, AB already), and they wish to encourage collector-fans to pay $25 for a 2 day pass? Else VCS needs the budget to attract a headliner comic creator from Seattle, WA or Portland, OR that will only attend 2 day cons.

*bump, as PNE show is about 9 days away. Imperial Hobbies toy warehouse from Richmond, BC will be a first time vendor (previously she was a shopper) at this expanded two (2) day  pop culture show.

Might be snow closing Coquihalla Hwy by next PNE show traditionally on Oct. 28-29, 2023 so recommend u fly in when u have time to buy/sell/trade.

Rain this weekend making it harder to load in/out. Sold some 1947 pulps, obscure comics during set up.

Most of the newer vendors in the north hall had walls of Funko Pops, anime toys, action figures, some military toys.

Sadly, someone stole an entire mag box full of 20 different nm-mt Eaglemoss/DC hardcover graphic novels along with some Marvel soft cover trade paperbacks during load-out Sunday April 2, 2023. Happened near the south main doors of the Vancouver, BC's PNE Forum building. Neal Adams 'Batman ' 1970s Ra's al Ghul, Bianchi "Thor ", Art Adams "Ultimate X-men Origins" graphic novels taken from me. Low dollar value box relatively but still this is my first comic theft in the last 25 years of cons.

Sorry to hear that, Allan. It looks like thefts at shows is rising. I hope you are able to find some of the stolen items, if not all of them.

Next 2 day event at same PNE Forum location, Vancouver, BC on Sat. Oct. 20 to Sunday Oct. 21, 2023. Worth crossing the Alberta or USA border to drive or fly  in for now.
