PGM ASM 38 2 2

Hey guys, can you please grade my ASM 38. The book has smooth covers with no creasing. The corners are sharp. The book does have a few small spine ticks (mostly non colour breaking). The reason I bring it up is a buddy and me we’re way off each other’s grade range. Any feedback would be appreciated!

It looks like a pretty sharp copy with minimal handling wear -- a few tiny spine ticks, a touch of wear at the corners and around the top staple, tiny tears (onto the back cover) at the bottom staple, etc.  However, the book does appear to have some light oxidation toning which is most evident along the outer spine and the inside back cover.  All things considered (and based solely on the images provided), I'd place it in the 7.0 to 8.0 range.  My best guess at a specific grade?  7.5 VF-.

I'm a little lower 6.0-7.0 based on the tanning, especially along the spine outside, but otherwise a really nice looking copy.

6.5 with doubts as to whether a book that tanned could make 7.0 but certainly a sharp copy, congrats!

So I have a book, ASM 23 I think, with tanning to edges. That book is as sharp or better than this one and it garnered a 7.0. I would think this would be 6.5-7.0 as a result. CGC dislikes discolourations to the paper and that tanning along the spine def keeps it from being higher.

Seems like that is somewhat the consensus so far...who is more in line with the boards so far you or your buddy?

Thanks for the feedback guys.. my buddy thought the book was in the 5.0-6.0 range. But I wasn’t any closer to what seems to be the consensus so far. I thought 7.5-8.0ish.. again thank you and keep the grades coming!

^^^I’ve seen slabbed books online with similar tanning graded an 8.0… interesting case….

Awesome looking book, but it's definitely tanned.  I was thinking 7/7.5
