Captain America 100 white variant. Anybody know more about it? 0

There are two versions of Cap 100, the standard has a yellow background behind the logo and the less common "variant" has a white background.  I can't see any other differences.  Looking at Heritage's archive, there are 94 white out of 570 total, so 16%.  I've never seen this discussed elsewhere.  

Anyone have any information about why this version exists?

The white variant is less common for sure. Not sure why the white and yellow exist. I personally like the white one more. @Ameri might have some insight as why the versions exist as he bought a dozen 100s right off his neighborhood newsstand in ‘68

Thanks for posting that. Didn't know that was "a thing." Mine's at CGC for grading so will check when it gets back.
