Westcoast Comic Con (WCC) is doubling their square footage to 7k square feet due to high dealer and collector demand. Moving to Maritime Labour Centre north of Hastings Street and Victoria Drive in East Vancouver, BC, Canada. This is a comic-centric pop culture show for the family. 6 foot long vendor's tables are $99 each, 7' long wall tables almost sold out at $125 already, free dealer's parking. Free customer parking in the neighborhood. Adult general admission $12, kids under 12 free admission.

Local independent press comic artists, inkers, writers to be announced closer to this expanded event:

Is this the con that is normally at the PNE or the one at the Heritage Hall? Never heard of the Maritime Labour Centre...

Heritage I believe. The PNE one is switching to a 3 day every 6 months I think.

Our first 2 Westcoast Comic Cons (WCC) were held at Croatian Cultural Centre the last 2 summers. Had to relocate to double the square footage of the north hall at Croatian Cult Ctr due to their hall rental rates skyrocketing the last 2 years due to new ownership. Maritime Labour Ctr is north of Hastings St. along Victoria Drive. Bright hall, flat load-in zone, free dealer's parking.

Correction: PNE show has expanded to 2 days twice a year not quite 6 months apart per Evan. PNE show has already sold 90% of dealer's tables and artist alley. Full capacity of PNE Forum is about 40k square feet.

If the new ownership of Croatian Cultural Centre is holding their skyrocketing hall rates the way they go … then the consideration of having a comic book show in there is out of the formula, for sure. It’s all around getting the most square footage for the least rental rates in economy. Our names are on booth list with WCC now - waiting for the fun times.

Yes, there will be different vendors with fresh key comics to peruse.

Westcoast Comic Con flyers will be distributed shortly as far east as Vernon Comic Con and Penticton, BC comic shops. House of Markus Comics's wall rack.

The expanded WCC has now sold out of all wall, centre dealer's tables and artist alley stage tables. Wait-lists have been set up for all 3 categories in case of any cancelations. Thank u to all the collector and vendor support. We are trying to arrange 1 ATM for the show. Dealers will have access to free wi-fi to run their cr card apps.  Hope to see u all Sunday August 13, 2023.

* 1 week countdown *. Local Vancouver (to Abbotsford, BC) and Victoria area comic shops, hobby and toy shop sponsors have Westcoast Comic Con flyers with a $1 off coupon on the bottom. Your fave local shop would also get a $1 kickback by u using their coupon. Thus, general admission would be $11 and FREE parking. Hope to see u all there and don't forget to bring your active comic and toy want-lists please.
