I just started collecting Frazetta paperbacks, and then @TupennyConanand @dovershow up and ruin everything! :tonofbricks:

I'm buddies with them both, so it takes away some of the pain in having missed out on these.

I lost control. I saw pretty pictures and hit the button!! I am, once again, playing catch up to you!

I get it!  Except in this case you are now way ahead.  I officially in my mind told myself I will now start collecting Frazetta paperbacks a few weeks ago, but haven't actually bought any yet. :ohnoez:

I need to get myself a good list of what I still need, I've only got between 1/3 and 1/2 of the Frazetta paperback covers that I'm aware of.  But when I go to the store I never remember exactly which Burroughs I have and don't have.

My brother-in-law is a huge Conan fan, so a couple years ago I bought him a complete, mostly unread (spines weren't even broken) run of the Lancer (late 60's) Frazetta cover Conan paperbacks. I thought it would be the best gift ever. When I got the books, they were so nice I wanted to keep them. They all looked almost brand new. But I wanted to give him something really cool. When we gave them to him, he did say thanks and called them "neat", but then promptly just tossed (literally) them on the floor in the corner of his office. Every time I've visited since, they are still just sitting in that corner with a bunch of paperwork and other junk. :frown:

I bought this great book at Christmas, and it was either a brilliant purchase or a huge mistake depending on how you look at it.  I am now totally hooked.  Great reference to all the covers.

Here's one from this thread.

Battle Cry, October 1961, G/VG. Very tough magazine, even in mid-grades, a classic Nazi torture cover. I don't know why she has to wear those clothes while she whips him, seems extra insensitive. $25  Sold to Jack Linguini

Several of these also have stories by Harlan Ellison that have never been reprinted, if that interests anybody besides me.  (Also why I'm not grabbing the lot, I have most of them already.)

Male, February 1959, VG+. Cool men's adventure magazine featuring the famous tale that we all grew up with- “The Great Lace Panties Escape”. I should probably keep my comments about the interior illustration and story to myself... $20  Sold to Jack Linguini

All Man, December 1959, Good. This copy is pretty rough but it's all there and still attached. This is a ridiculously difficult book in any grade and one I've been searching for a nice copy for 15 years. I paid good money for this and the other copy that I own so I won't be sad if it doesn't sell.   Classic Nazi fräulein cover.  $90  Sold to Dr. Balls

True Police Cases, January 1958, VG. I always liked the cover of this book. Two of the women seem like they've got some hard bark on them. The other one, less so. $25  Sold to Jack Linguini

And that's it for Round One.  There will be a second and third but I want to get these sorted first.  Probably another 40-60 paperbacks to go and a significant tranche of magazines and other items.

Thanks to all that have bought so far and to the rest for looking.  Fun to share these more esoteric items with all of you!
