Captain America #241 reprint graded as an original. 1 1

How does CGC explain these things when they happen. Is this a common occurrence?

Not mine. Saw it on eBay. Seller knows it’s a reprint but is selling it as an original.

Hard to believe they reprinted that in 1993 but left the original year (1979) copyright on cover.

Sadly dishonesty is not atypical of sellers. They view the mistake by cgc as hitting a jackpot

Not so sure it is dishonest as the listing says JC Penny.....now whether they would get $299 for it.....

I find that people who can't spell are generally dishonest... It's JC Penney. Even as a Canadian, I know that.

The listing isn't perfect, but it at least attempts to properly identify the issue.

What do these reprints sell for?

@mycomicshop has an original 8.0 listed, and a reprint 8.0 listed for considerably more money.

I'm guessing that this just slipped by them, because every part of the listing indicates it's an original print.
