I used to find solace by telling myself that I’d have never had all the books I had if I hadn’t sold all the books I sold. 

Later I realized that in order to have the collection I always dreamed of as a kid I’d have to sell a bunch of books. Once I did, I was left with the collection I always dreamed of having as a kid.

My biggest regrets (after selling comics) were never about money. They were always because I no longer had the book(s) in my collection.

Sold out my collection back around 1999 which included a signed Dave Stevens limited edition print "Betty's Boudoir".It was a Christmas present from an Ex.

Buying silly things like TOS #39, JIM #83, and HUlk #1, instead of putting all of my money into countless mint copies of Kickers inc #1.

When I was a teen in the late 1970s and collecting Avengers back issues, I traded my Giant-Size X-Men #1 to a classmate for his Avengers #57, which I still have. I'd do it all again, but I regret not getting another copy over the past 30 years when I had the funds. I'm just not a big X-Men fan and would rather have high-grade issues of Avengers.
