We are growing small show. We average somewhere around 300/350+ attendees with 18 to 19 dealers at each show. Our attendance is free and we set up in an older Mall where there is plenty of Room to walk around and look at booths without feeling crowded. In other words this is not crammed into a VFW hall or hotel banquet room we have room to walk around, sit down in the food court and eat or read comics. Or just enjoy the atmosphere of an normal comic book show. 

If you live a few hours from Evansville, Indiana its well worth the trip. We also have 3 shops in town and two are less then 4 miles from the show and I have a direction map at the show for where they are at. I am actively pursuing boardies from STL, Louisville, Indy, Terre Haute, and Clarksville to come enjoy the show. @Dale Roberts

I think we have something special here and we continue to grow. Dealers are making good money and customers are picking up books they have been looking for quite a while. I enjoy watching someone using CLZ or plooping a big book down with issues they are looking for. This is the type of show I want to go to. Its not a perfect show, but I try to continue to improve it as I can. 

You know who the dealers ahead of time, what they carry and there are no surprises or parking issues. Check out the facebook group for more information. I actually decided to do this because I was tired of driving to cons paying admission and seeing little to no dealers with books marked up to cover the high table fees they have to pay. We don't have that problem. Dealers get donuts for breakfast and pizza for lunch (I have water bottles as well.) so they only have to focus on you the customer. Come enjoy and grow the hobby with us.

Flyers out to 6 shops in a separate cities yesterday. (Evansville, Henderson, and Owensboro)
11 x 17 color ones go in the Comic Shop windows as you walk in. 

You should start seeing them in the Tri state area in your shops
in the next week. Except for the one shop in my area that won't support the 
show at all.

I will start targeting Louisville, STL and Paducah starting middle of week or so.

Great you got this plug for the Comic Book show you setup.  Nice to get some more advertising.  If I was in the area, I would attend for sure.  Should be a lot of fun.

Got a call from local media station to come out and interview us Friday night while we are setting up. I will post the video if they show up. 

My daughter is freaking out because she helps me set up. So I told her to call her friends
to get them on tv setting up. I dont really care I just want more free labor.  :bigsmile:

How was the show?!

I liked it. I couldn’t stay as long as I wanted though because I had tickets to the Flash movie. I was able to score some books I had been looking for in 1 hr I was there. Can’t wait for the next one. Definitely want to get pics with all the awesome folks that make this happen
