Showcase 4 VF- with grease pencil date. Possible to remove? Worth it? 1 1

Here is my book that id like to submit a to CGC for crossover grading.

I have a question regarding the 07- mark. It looks to be grease pencil.  Is this something that could be removed with a clean / press?  Perhaps it is what smudged the bottom right as you see some light smudge too.

Should I even bother?  Im unsure if a clean and press would help this book get a higher grade.  I am hoping to match it at a 7.0.

Im wondering whether to just do crossover or to go all out...  Thanks for taking the time!  The book looks great In person.

If it's not a 7.0, the date and that light smudge won't be the things that keep it from being a 7.0.  They shouldn't have much effect at all until you get into the NM grades.

Given the cost and risk of trying to clean it for basically zero potential gain, I wouldn't worry about it.

Removing that would require restoration.

And it is on very heavy. That amount of grease because it has been on the book a very long time will have eaten into some of the ink. Even if it were removed there would be telltale signs that grease pencil had been applied.

Grease mark does not factor into the cgc grade, full images of front and back can get opinions on pressing and cleaning.
