How Does Grading Work? 0

I'm totally fascinated on how the grading works.  How many experts grade each comic?  For example, the comic book may be CGC 8.0 or CGC 9.6.  How does each expert make the judgment?  Is there a link that explains to me how it works?

An 8.0 is just a 9.6 with a 1/2” crease

I completely forgot about the CGC book.  I really should order a floppy and check it out....
