Tec-Tac-Toe
Amazing, great, fantastic, unbelievable, etc., do not come close to describing Mr. Jaffee's work and the joy I receive from it. Larryw7

Popular Post lordbyroncomics
I got to meet him a couple of times and it was as joyous as you'd imagine and he was so warm and quick witted. Here's some photos I took in 2013 at the Society of Illustrators; with him is Stan Goldberg, also a quite affable legend. Miss them both. The list of creators who worked in the Golden Age grows even slimmer with both Giella and now Jaffee gone in the same month. That era's window is very nearly completely closed. I'm so grateful for all the years we had access to them though. bc, mycomicshop, Robot Man and 6 others

Not quite original since he started Mad in 1963 but Sergio A. Still going strong. Dave2739, lordbyroncomics, MisterX and 3 others

silverseeker
R.I.P. Mr. Jaffee... I also mangled many a Mad magazine back in the day to check out the fold-ins... If I remember correctly, me and a buddy of mine created some kind of parody comic back in junior high and made our own fold-ins on the back cover because we thought the concept was so creative. DrMitchJ
So lucky to have had Al Jaffee around for so long, and all the great work he created over the years. It seems that he was universally loved and admired by all of his peers. R.I.P. Edited April 13, 2023 by DrMitchJ

Readcomix
Here’s a link to a recent interview with D ick DeBartolo. I stumbled on it when I reached out to him to extend condolences and ask him about other remaining Mad alums. Will post any insights when/if I hear back. lordbyroncomics
Angelo is still very active and I was glad to find his Instagram. At 91, I believe it's just him and Ramona Fradon that are still doing commissions and such. https://www.instagram.com/angelotorresart/?hl=en

Readcomix
Heard back from DeBartolo this morning - he said Sergio Aragones is still going strong too, but that’s about everybody left who worked on Mad from the 60’s-70’s and back. comicnoir
