marvelmaniac
Edge/corner wear with color loss, minor spine wear with color loss and a few small color breaking spine ticks, slightly off center cover wrap, moderate dust shadows on the rear cover. Very Nice Book!!! IMO... 7.5 VERY FINE- (VF-): Back to Top Fits the criteria for Very Fine but with an additional defect or small accumulation of defects that detracts from the book's appearance by a perceptible amount. 7.0 FINE/VERY FINE (FN/VF): Back to Top An above-average copy that shows minor wear but is still relatively flat and clean with outstanding eye appeal. A small accumulation of minor bindery/printing defects is allowed. Minor cover wear beginning to show, possibly including minor creases. Corners may be blunted. Inks are generally bright with a moderate reduction in reflectivity. Stamped or inked arrival dates may be present. Minor foxing. The slightest spine roll may be present, as well as a possible moderate color break. Staples may show some discoloration. Slight staple tears and a small accumulation of light stress lines may be present. Slight rust migration. Paper is cream to tan. Centerfold is mostly secure. Minor interior tears at the margin may be present. Readcomix
RobHW
Pretty book. Presents very well from the front and centering looks great. No writing or date stamps. The inside of the front cover - is that showing a water stain? And I'm not sure if the discoloration on the back is oxidation or from a liquid. No tears that I see. And just a little tiny piece missing from the bottom front cover. Even if I was holding this book I think I might not know enough about grading to grade it. Would look great in a slab, especially with a clean and press. I'm interested in keeping an eye on this one. And if the back has been cleaned, the white on the front probably has been cleaned as well. Beware a purple tag.

scburdet
My first thought was around 6.5 b/c of the TLBC, some slight discoloration of the paper & wear around the corners & edges. I could see this going 1 or 2 grades higher since it looks so nice for something that's 50 years old.
Sauce Dog
6.5/7.0 for me so long as that isn't any sort of stain on the inside front cover (I own a 7.5 that looks nicer than this one that I'm using as a reference)
Readcomix
Thanks everyone so far! To clarify, as I think my pics (and not showing inside back cover pic) have left some confusion -- there's no stain, and I don't think there's been any cleaning. It would be more obvious had I shown the inside back cover -- some tanning is beginning on that inside front cover, and moreso inside back. I'll try to dig the book back out later and add that inside back pic. It will make more sense then. You are generally corresponding to the range it was sold to me as, which I generally agree with too.
