Another tough Lion title to find in nice shape and sporting one of my favorite Bob Maguire covers. From the High Grade collection

Fine Plus.  Square and tight, sharp corners, has some age wear, very little handling wear to speak of. Some crackling of the cover gloss and a bit of rubbing to the edges near the spine. Thumb bend with a small fleck on the back edge.

Web of Flesh by Mal Chance.   Midwood F204   PBO     1962    $30  SOLD to N e r V

Wicked Good Girl cover by Robert Schulz. He was the highest paid pb painter at one point, working for all the highest paying publishers and I'd never seen him do a sleaze cover but I guess by 1962 when photo covers and GIANT FONT covers were pushing all the painters out of the business, he did what he had to pay the bills

Very Fine.  Just a sharp sharp copy. Square and tight with great colors and gloss. Tiny bend at lower right corner is about all to note on the covers. Nice page quality too. A sizzler.

House of Flesh by Bruno Fischer   Gold Medal 123   PBO     1950    $25 SOLD to mstrange

Fischer's breakthrough Horror/Mystery novel. Killer cover art is uncredited although I suspect it's by MAM painter John Floherty. An early example of the "Gothic Mystery" signature look. I ain't messing with Lela or her dog!  From the High Grade collection.

Very Fine Minus. Square glossy and new looking with great, intact lamination. A bit of edgewear here and there and a very slight uneven-ness of the pages.

The Girl From Hollywood by Edgar Rice Burroughs  Ace  28911, January 1977   $15

The First paperback edition with a striking Boris Good Girl cover. This one got lost in the sauce I think, a while back.

Very Fine. Super glossy, appears bright and unread. No creasing and shows virtually no wear. Pages off white. A superior copy in every way.

Killer Croc cover art by Frank Frazetta. First print of the "Tall" Ace edition.

Looks Very Fine but has a couple harsh pulls and flecking on the back so I'll throw it out there to see if anyone wants a bargain copy that looks great from the front.

Coffin For A Hood by Lionel White  Gold Medal 775 PBO 1st Printing June 1958    $20  SOLD to Norrin's Lawyer

Killer Darcy (Ernest Chiriaka) headlights cover art to one of my favorite crime authors PBO. He's got a .45 but her .38's are spectacular as they say. 

A book that is far more than it's cover. White writes great crime capers that keep the pages turning.

Hard to grade. Has Very Fine, unread qualities but has some page edge fading and bending to the book from storage as shown. Covers are bright and glossy, smooth and uncreased.

Classic Belarski JD cover art and one of the most famous pb covers ever for sure.

Very Good. Spine is solid with slight slant. Has a bunch of light creases and general wear, book has a bend to it from storage that would probably straighten out with a backing board in the bag. Covers retain some gloss, pages tight and supple. A must have that still looks nice on display.
