Best way to get sigs at small conventions..? 0

I'm looking to get a couple of signatures on books from supporting cast actors, who are appearing in what seem like pretty small conventions - 'Retro Toy Con' in South Carolina, 'Fandomfest NY' in Schenectady, etc. - seems like a long shot that an official CGC facilitator would be attending (probably not worth the time) - is there another way to authenticate the signatures? Can I just sign up as a facilitator and verify the sigs myself..?

No you can't just sign up to be a facilitator. A lot more complicated than that.

Just take a photo or video of the item being signed.

Much better in my opinion than a witness and you save money.

you can get the sigs yourself and send the comics to a company that authenticates signatures (not CGC).

You absolutely can get a CGC facilitator to go to that one even on short notice, even if no one is planning to go.  Just a matter of how much cash you can put up.

Okay, always understood you needed both a facilitator and a witness. If you only need a witness, which you suggest, how does one find one for say Upstate New York for example. Is there a list somewhere?
