With this year coming to an end, I want to give a big shout to the 2023 "thread of the year"...everyone involved...After 60 years of collecting it is very refreshing to "learn" something new....and I did a lot of learning on this and other related theads on this topic in 2023. You had to be there, to wait each week to see what they were going to come up next to blow your young mind...what a joy and what great timing I had. But there always was a mystery as to how they did it...every magic month after month. It was not one guy but a bunch of them at the right time and the right place...and believe me, in 1961/62 there were great expectations for the future through super science and people had real imaginations.  Here is  a hat tip to everyone and let us continue this into 2024!!!!

Of course, Don Heck was no Kirby or Ditko, but Marvel also settled with the Don Heck estate as well. He was the co-creator of Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Black Widow so a shout-out to Don Heck. Stan Lee took the credit from Don Heck too.

The filings said Marvel would drop its lawsuits against Larry Lieber and the estates of Don Heck, Gene Colan and Don Rico with prejudice, which means they cannot be refiled. A Disney spokesperson and an attorney for the artists said they had reached an "amicable resolution."
