In otherwords the ink never touches the comic, so there is no chance of the grade going down. The comic stays in the inner protective holder. This is not a question I have seen before, but I am happy to address it. Unfortunately, we do not offer a service to have only the inner well signed. You can resubmit a graded book for a CGC private signing. It will be cracked out of the holder and regraded after signing. In this case, as you mentioned, there is a possibility that the grade will change. Adding pressing service to a signing submission may help diminish any defects that occur due to the additional handling of the book. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
