  1. Hello, This is an excellent question. At this time we only have the two sizes of holders, the standard sized and the thick holders. If the cards do not fit in one of these two holders appropriately, we will not slab them and risk damaging them. Although it may seem that the cards are the same size, some manufacturing defects can cause the cards to fit more snuggly or in the other cards case, loosely in the holder than others. With the card that is a little loose, we generally will put a sleeve on the cards that we feel will benefit from this method to prevent movement but if you feel the movement is excessive, you can send it back for review and we can see about adding a sleeve to the card.
  2. Hello, thanks for reaching out. The sleeves are used on cards that do not quite fit our holders, even if they appear to be the same size as other cards in the series. Manufacturing defects can lead to imperfections that may make the card slightly smaller than the others. As for the card that is too loose in the holder, you may send this back as a Mechanical Error submission as long as it is within 14 days of receiving the card and we will review it to see if we can add a sleeve to the card. Regarding the grade on the last card though. Each collectible is reviewed by multiple professionals before the final grade is agreed upon. This ensures the most accurate grades are given. At this time we do not have a grade review process because it is done in-house before the card is returned to you.

  4. Hello, we cannot press metal covers at this time. The metal covers will not be pressed and will be set aside while the rest of the books will be pressed as requested.

  6. Hello, you now have to have a paid membership even to submit Signature Series books at conventions. The only exception would be Private Signing Events where it is posted that it is not required. Yes, you do have to be a paid member for a Reholder Signature Series, even at a convention.
  7. Hello, our comic holder will fit most books up to 10-1/2" tall x 7-5/8" wide x 1/4" thick.

  10. Hello, thanks for reaching out! Yes, you are correct. It sounds like you have a good grasp of the process. You will need to wait with the books while our booth staff verifies they are all there with you and once they go through them you will be good to go! Please note they do prefer to have TWO copies of the packing slip turned in with the books, this makes it easier for them at the booth but is not required.

  12. Hello, It is hard to tell from the photos; however, if they are in fact pinched in the inner wells that would qualify as a Mechanical Error. If there is damage to the books, complimentary pressing may be offered but they would need to be reviewed once they are received in-house.

Can you please forward the email that you received to customer service at submissions@cgccomics.com so we can get an better idea of what they are asking for? I do see that we shipped all 11 books in the shipment according to my system. As for the custom labels, I am not showing that you were charged for custom labels and the invoice copy that I have in the system does not show that they were marked. I am so sorry for the confusion, can you please email this to customer service as well?

  18. Unfortunately, we do not share the size of our shipping materials publically. This is because in some instances we may use one box or multiples depending on the size of the books included (magazines versus comics)... We thank you for understanding. Rest assured your books will be packaged specifically to prevent damage to them in shipping.
  19. Hello! Thanks for reaching out. We do grade Sports Illustrated as long as they fit within the dimensions of our holders which is 11-1/2" tall x 8-7/8" wide x 1/2" thick (except magazines with hard covers or jeweled covers).

  22. Hello, thanks for reaching out. Custom labels are based on our licensing agreements and what we can and cannot get in these terms. We may offer DC custom labels in the future; however, those will be announced in the newsletters if we do. As for toy grading, we hope to have this available by the end of the year but I cannot release any exact dates as of right now. Thank you.
  23. Hello, thanks for reaching out. It looks like this book is on its way back to you today. Once it has been returned to you, please review the book in person to see if there are any damages. If you do find there may have been damage while in our possession, please contact customer service at submissions@cgccomics.com within 14 days so they can review the possible damages and discuss with our verification team how to move forward. The book will most likely need to be returned to our facility again for an internal review of the damages before any claim can be started; however, this will be decided at the time of contact. Please note, any photos that you have (before and after) of the book will be very helpful. Thank you.
  24. Hello, at this time we still do not allow drop-off submissions for sports cards and do require all submissions to be mailed to the facility. Another option is to have a local Dealer submit the cards on your behalf as Dealers are allowed to drop off currently. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
