Ryder13 Posted August 19, 2023 Share Posted August 19, 2023 I recently purchased this cgc 9.8 issue 1 outcast slab from an online comic shop that I’ve ordered from before and trust them. I’ve never had an issue until now. The cgc label is warped, the comic is wavy, the bottom left and top right corners are chipped, the sides of the slab can open a little bit but not enough to slide a comic out, the slab looks thicker than any cgc slab I’ve ever seen and the label on top looks weird, there’s debris inside the case as well. I took multiple photos in the hopes that someone can tell me if I’m crazy or not but I can only post 2. I’ve got 11 more pictures if needed. This is an authentic CGC slab but it is one of our Gen 2 slabs/labels. At this time the encapsulations and labeling were VERY different from our current holders. Additionally all the issues you are seeing (wavy label, wavy inner well, sticker on top, case open on the sides...) are all reasons we released our new slabs. If you would like, you can submit this to our reholder services and we can encapsulate this in a new holder for you. Rest assured, this would still fall under the current CGC Guarantee.
