Man, I can't believe they did that. I'm not in anyway opposed to having characters be gay. For instance, I actually like how it works out in Young Avengers. But to have Colossus gay? That's a real stretch.

 

I'm guessing his boyfriend is Wolverine. Had to be a reason for the Fastball Special. Okay, bad joke.

yeah, but this is the Ultimate Universe. This isn't the same Colossus that died in Uncanny X-Men and came back in Astonishing recently. This is Ultimate Colossus, who has a completely different story.

 

Kitty Pryde never went out with this Colossus. She had a brief stint with Iceman, and now is supposedly going out with Spidey.

That's not what the statement was. What he said was he was sad that people will stop reading the book now when they had read and liked it before solely because characters have been revealed to be gay. It has nothing to do with anyone forcing anybody to read anything. You have the right to not read something. I believe, and I'm sure the original poster does as well, that if you stop buying a book that you were buying and liked before for the sole reason that a character is gay is unfortunate.

It may not come around until about issue 46 or 47.

I thought it wasn't until the latest arc which is in the mid 60's. If so, you've got a long way to go. Before that, I thought it was merely mentioned by creators and not in the comic.
