There are a lot of fun covers in that 1-47 stretch.  The villains are an incredible array of 70's awesome-ness! 

My favorites would probably be the earliest issues, which were written by Archie Goodwin. A lot of books from that era are kind of 'meh' for me, I find his writing closer to the style and feeling of '60s Marvel.
