Nope.

Yes, at least for a quick press. A 9.8 to a 9.6 can be worth 6-7 presses alone. It's also worth it for the free pre-screen from the presser.

No. If a press won’t improve the grade or presentation there’s no reason to press in my opinion.

I press my own books and I take a good look at it, sometimes I can't see anything to press out but that's not often maybe 5% of the time.

From my experience, CGC LOVES the look of a properly pressed book.

Not when I directly submit to CGC, BUT I do have all Signature Series (whether directly to CGC or via facilitators) submissions pressed.

I press and submit my own comics, and yes I do press almost every book I send in. The exception would be new books off of the stand (rare for me to submit these) and older books with card stock covers that look like they are perfect already.

If you want to remove finger prints or something of that nature CGC pressing isn't a bad option. If you want to remove creasing it'll likely be a hit or miss and they may still be there after pressing from my experience. Not a bad option for after a signing where the artist may have touched the book a few times type of thing.

Pressing will not remove finger prints but it can definitely remove finger bends.
