For a long time this was the oldest comic in my collection... bought this for a buck fifty 30 years ago. I've since bought a few more books that are a few years older but this one holds a special place in my heart. Always loved this cover.

I know what you mean. When I began collecting comics at age 10 there was a time, probably for the first 6 months or so, that I focused on getting older and older comics. It didn't matter which or in what condition. I got as far back as 1954 with a Donald Duck book. Those early additions are still in my collection.
